When You Turn Your Back on a 3 Year Old

This is what happens;
When I was feeding Evan breakfast, Marin was sitting nicely at the table painting.  When I turned around to see how things were going, she showed me the art work on her face.  She was very proud of it!  This is how the past week has gone.  The other day she turned on our gas fire place without me knowing.  When I asked why she turned it on, she told me it was too cold in the house.  Yesterday she decided to brush her teeth while I was feeding Evan and I walked into the bathroom to find toothpaste all over the sink and her hands.  I think I need eyes in the back of my head to keep up with her!

No One is Safe!

Evan's favorite thing to do is pull hair!  He pulls my hair, Marin's hair and Chris' beard.  But he really loves to pull the dogs' hair!  You would think the dogs would keep their distance, but I guess they can't resist the smell of formula and baby food.

Happy Valentine's Day!

I used to love Valentine's Day because it meant going out for a night on the town and getting flowers and jewelry.  Now it is even better spending it at home with my two sweet Valentines, and of course Chris!   (I must admit, I did buy myself a box of chocolates!)

Chris picked Marin up from preschool today and she told him she wanted to go and get flowers for me!  She told the florist that she wanted pink or purple flowers.  Chris said she was very particular and the lady had to show her several colors before she settled on these.  What a sweetie!

Hope you have a love filled Valentine's Day!

Trip to Omaha

On Saturday we headed over to Omaha to visit John, Sarah, Ada and Evie.  We had a great time catching up, well catching up the best we could while there were 3 babies and a 3 and a half year old all vying for attention.  We hadn't been to Omaha since October and couldn't believe how much the girls have changed.  They are so smiley and mobile!  It was fun watching them play on the floor together.  I don't think Evan knew what to think of the twins since he is never around babies.  He had fun trying to roll on them and grab their hands and clothes.  Marin was happy to have some other people to talk to and told Uncle John and Aunt Sarah all about her favorite Disney characters.

It's All Fun and Games Until Someone Gets Their Hair Pulled

As you know, Marin doesn't pay a whole lot of attention to Evan.  The other night she decided to sit next to him and talk to him.  This is what transpired;

Things start off well, Marin is holding Evan's hand and talking to him.

Here is where she makes her mistake, giving him a hug and putting her hair within Evan's reach.
Evan grabs her hair and Marin tries to pull away.

He refuses to give up.

She finally breaks free!

Super Bowl Party

On Sunday we had Paul, Connor and Olivia out for the Super Bowl.  Chris, Paul and Connor actually watched the game while I enjoyed the food and commercials.

Fueling up for the big game!

Evan was bored within the first 5 minutes and fell asleep.

The food is the best part of a super bowl party!

Chris and Connor divided their time between legos and the game.

The princesses did not find the game very exciting so they found other things to do

They were captivated by the half time show though!

Evan woke up for the second half of the game

Time for more snacks

Princesses and Peek-a-Boo

Marin loves to play princesses, tonight her and Chris played princesses go to Disney World.  Evan was busy entertaining himself by playing peek-a-boo.  He pulled his blanket over his face and then took it off, he played this for about 10 minutes.  When I went to take the blanket, he rolled over and grabbed the blanket and resumed his game!

I'm not sure who is having more fun.

Where's Evan?

There he is!

He can't get enough of this game.

Pajama Day

We decided to have a pajama day after being stuck in the house for the past two days.  Even though we only got 7 inches of snow,  it was way too cold to go outside.  Marin and I thought we would be lazy today, but Evan decided to work on getting closer to crawling.  He actually got up on all fours today a couple of times.  Though after getting up he would crash face first when he tried to move.

Evan could barely stay awake during breakfast

Evan knows exactly what to do to aggravate his sister, pull her hair!
