In the Meadow we can Build a Snowman

(actually in the front yard)

On Saturday it was actually warm enough to go outside and play in the snow.  Marin had a great time making snow angels, being pulled on her sled and making a snowman.  We brought Evan out for a few minutes, he didn't see what was so fun about playing in the snow!

8 Months

It's hard to believe that Evan is 8 months old today.  The time has gone so fast!  He is such a good baby.  He is very laid back and goes with the flow.  He is starting to sit up, though he doesn't do it very often.  He would much rather be on his tummy trying to crawl.  He can push up on his arms and he can push up on his legs, he just can't push up on both at the same time yet.  I want him to crawl, but I know once he does he will be into everything!

Maybe a Baby Brother is Not So Bad After All

Marin is slowly taking an interest in her brother.  She now will actually talk to him,  play with him and on a rare occasion, even ask to hold him!  This is quite a change from times that he would cry and she would want me to leave him crying and she would say, "it's okay, babies cry."

Walt Disney World

I have dreamed of going to Disney World for so long and I finally talked Chris into taking us.  We took a 5 day trip in the middle of January.  We had a great time, though the weather was not very cooperative.  Our plane going to Florida was delayed due to snow storms across the country and while we were there it was downright cold!  One morning the windchill was 25 degrees!  That might not sound cold to us Midwesterners, but when you are planning and dressed for 70 degrees, 25 is frigid!  We visited all 4 of the Disney parks, Magic Kingdom was Marin's and my favorite, Chris liked Epcot the best.  We were very excited for Marin to meet all of the princesses and Disney characters, but it turns out she is quite afraid of anyone dressed up.  We had 3 character meals while at Disney and luckily she started to warm up to the characters there, but anytime we saw anyone dressed up at one of the theme parks we had to steer clear of them.  The hardest part of the trip was leaving Evan home, he stayed with Grandma and Grandpa Roberts.  He had a great time with them and I think they had a hard time giving him back to us.  I told Chris that we will have to go back in a few years with Evan.

One of Marin's favorite rides was the Goofy roller coaster
Marin's other favorite ride was It's a small world
Marin fell asleep on the way back to the hotel every night!

I Hope this works!

So I finally started a blog after many requests.  I will try to post updates a few times a week, but I am not making any promises!
